High school isn’t a perfect coming-of-age movie. It’s messy, exhausting, and sometimes, it’s just sitting in a parking lot at midnight, eating fast food with your best friends. Growing Pains is a raw, electric, and deeply personal look at what it really means to be a teenager, created by the people who know it best—teenagers themselves.
Over the course of six weeks, a group of middle and high schoolers worked together to devise and write this original play. In addition to actors, we had student designers, stage managers,
directors, and playwrights.
